Barbara Morrow concentrates her practice in the areas of product liability and retail liability litigation. In addition, she defends independent and public schools in a variety of matters involving student safety, school policy and civil rights.
Ms. Morrow’s experience covers all aspects of discovery and trial preparation. She has successfully litigated many cases in both federal and state courts throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Back to top
- Representation of national retailers in matters involving premises liability, product sale, product installation and service.
- Product liability litigation involving the design, manufacture and use of construction and manufacturing equipment, including claims of design defect, manufacturing defect and improper warnings.
- Representation of brokers involved in disputes with insurance companies and third-parties concerning errors and omissions, insurance coverage and bad faith.
- Experience in the representation of independent schools in matters involving school policies and procedures, student and faculty handbooks, vehicular liability, student safety, privacy and discipline.
- Representation of public schools in matters involving student safety, school policies and procedures, student supervision and premises liability.
- Representation of public entities in civil rights, zoning/land development use, and employment matters.
- Responsible for handling multidistrict litigation involving pharmaceuticals.
Significant representative matters include:
- Successfully defended insurance producer professional malpractice cases in state court based upon a variety of issues, including the 2002 amendment to N.J.S.A. 2A:53A-26 Affidavit of Merit Statute.
- Successfully defended insurers and insurance brokers in myriad coverage and bad faith litigation filed pursuant to Pennsylvania common law and 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8371.
- Successfully defended independent school alleged to have breached school policy in expelling student for inappropriate conduct involving another student.
- Successfully defended insurance broker in case requiring interpretation of the “step down” provision of a commercial UM/UIM endorsement, Pinto v. New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Co., and the 2007 amendment to N.J.S.A. 17:28-1.1, prohibiting the use of “step down” provisions in motor vehicle liability policies issued to business entities to lower uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage for employees to the limits of coverage available to the employees under their personal policies.
- Achieved beneficial settlement on behalf of independent school and teacher in high-profile, contentious litigation by student and student’s family in which they alleged, among other claims, breach of contract, assault and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
